Most software developers would rather write code than documentation. The Agile Manifesto specifically values ‘working software over comprehensive documentation’. However we’re all aware that some documentation is essential so how do we ensure its quality? Are testers just bug hunters?
There are still a few people in every organisation who seem to think that testers are just ‘bug hunters’. At SoftEd we know that isn’t the case, they contribute a lot to software development projects and find all sorts of things that impact the success of projects. This month we’d like to shine the light on Sharon Robson (B.Sc(Hons), Grad.Dip.IT, ISTQB CTFL, CTAL-ATA, CTAL-ATM, CTAL-TTA).
With over 17 years’ experience in software testing, software development and business analysis, Sharon is a talented trainer who develops and delivers training courses at all levels.
Sharon is a frequent speaker on software testing and certification at industry events, including STANZ, Agile Australia Conference, ANZTB Conference, ISTQB Special Interest Groups (SIG), Test Professional Network (TPN) and at the STARWEST Conference.
In her spare time, Sharon researches and writes papers on Agile test approaches in various business domains. Sharon is currently directing her efforts towards enhancing and elaborating Agile approaches for implementation in the testing area. In 2010 Sharon was recognised as one of the 13 most influential women Software Testers in the world, by US magazine Software Test & Performance.
